Saim-Hann Falcons At Dwarven Broncos

2006-07-04

"Hello sports fans and welcome to Bash Center! Tonight, we are broadcasting live from the Dwarven home stadium, Kazar Dome. And as always, I am here with the play by play man, Undead McFadden. Say hello, McFadden."

"mrrrrhhhhaaaah"

"Well, another great finish here tonight at Kazar with the Dwarves hosting long time rivals Saim-Hann Falcons. On to the highlights:

First Half Highlights

"Rough start for Elven Phoenix Warrior #7 Gilthanas who drops the ball on the opening kickoff then fumbles it again in the following turn! So much for that Elven dexterity! Dwarves show their tenacity with Dwarf Runner Flint scooping up the ball, dodging a tackle zone and running in for the early TD. Dwarves draw first blood up one zip."

Got Dex? Phoenix Warrior can be seen here chasing after the loose ball but it was Flint who came up with the pig skin in the endzone!

"Middle of the first half, Dwarf Longbeard Bashful should be renamed to Bash Full as he levels Elf Lineman #42 Eldrich. Eldrich would leave the game with a serious injury and will miss the following game. Second time since the Sylvanian Open League started, the Broncos have injured an opposing player!

"Late first half, the Falcons begin to spread their wings. Here, they invoke their Elven Fleaflicker as Phoenix Warrior #5 Lylithan hands off to Gilthanis. He's got a man open down field; #80 catches a rocket and runs it in for the tie!"

Deep Strike: Falcon Lineman #27 Haldir catches a beautiful spiral for the Falcons first TD of the season.

Second Half Highlights

"Dwarves receive the ball off the wild opening kick. A touch back puts the ball in the hands of Dwarven Runner Grumpy but the Falcons regroup and knock the ball loose. Phoenix Lord Gilthanas tries to recover the ball but fumbles! Dwarven Longbeard Stinky recovers the ball and somehow dodges three tackle zones to score! Dwarves regain the lead!"

The Juke: Stunty legs prove to be fast enough to evade the Falcon defense.

"Late in the second half, the Falcons tie at the buzzer with a TD strike from Phoenix Lord Lylithan. We're going to OT, baby!"

Buzz Kill: Lion Warrior #80 Fuegliatta celebrates in front a nervous Dwarven crowd.

Overtime

"The Broncos win the coin toss and start the extra session with the ball at the scrimmage line. Saim-Hann force a fumble but then Gilthanas fumbles. The Dwarves attempt to recover but Stinky fumbles the loose ball! Gilthanas dodges a tackle zone and picks up the loose ball then dodges another tackle and he's free!. He spots Lineman Elron waaaaay down field, pump fakes and throws right over Dwarven Runner Taco's hands! Elron makes the catch and scores the decisive touchdown! Falcons take the W in OT. Longest pass in Sylvanian Open's young history. We go to the post-game interviews."

Alone in the Dark: Lineman Elron is the only man downfield and Gilthanas spots him for the completion of the year and the game winning score!

"Gilthanas, 2 completions including that amazing long range pass for the win. How did you guys overcome being down for most of the game?"

"Pffttt. This is your question? 'tis a waste of time to answer such irrelevance. We Saim-Hann are just superior in every way. I need not say more. The only thing those Dwarves know how to do is to cheap shot our linemen. If I wasn't too busy dispatching their pathetic Longbeards myself, I would have brought it to the ref's attention at the time and had that Longbeard checked for hidden weapons. However, this matters not. We have proven our superiority. The other teams need not to compete anymore. Saim-Hann is here."

"Grumpy, another tough loss for the Broncos. What do you need to change in order to win in this league?"

"Baahhh, those rotten Elves with their fancy trickery have managed to cheat again. The only thing we Dwarves need to change is our axe for bigger ones. We'll kill the lot of 'em! You'll see. No-one beats the Dwarves in the Kazar Dome and lives to tell the tale!"

"Uh... that's all from Kazar Dome and that will do it for Bash Center. Stay tuned for more coverage of the Open Sylvanian League."
